  • TO is an approach to theater that focuses on finding solutions to real-world problems. Our TO workshops use engaging techniques including, games, embodied exercises, and discussion to tackle pressing social and political issues. Drawing on the rich tradition of political theater, and the visionary work of organizers, writers, and artists, each workshop invites critical examination of power, and collaborative problem solving with the aim of taking action. TO is a useful tool for getting unstuck – and thinking expansively and creatively about what is possible. Unlike traditional theater, where the emphasis is on performance, TO emphasizes dialogue, engagement, and empowering collective action. No prior acting experience required.
